Announcement: ATKColoredCompressor 1.0.0 and ATKColoredExpander 1.0.0

I’m happy to announce the release of a colored compressor plugin as well as a colored expander plugin based on the Audio Toolkit. They are available on Windows and OS X (min. 10.8) in different formats. They are effectively replacing the ATKCompressor and ATKExpander plugins by adding several new parameters: RMS filter (set it to 0 to get peak detection from the old plugins), color (gain change around the threshold, positive color adding gain and negative color removing gain), quality (affecting the coloring on a smaller or bigger area around the threshold). The expander also has a maximum reduction parameter, allowing the user to specify the maximum amount of gain reduction below the threshold.

Announcement: ATKChorus 1.0.0 and ATKStereoPhaser 1.0.0

Yet another plugin announcement, I’m happy to announce the release of a chorus plugin as well as a stereo phaser plugin based on the Audio Toolkit. They are available on Windows and OS X (min. 10.8) in different formats. The chorus plugin is based on a variable delay filter driven by a random delay signal, and the stereo phaser morphs a mono signal in a stereo phased pair.

Announcement: ATKUniversalVariableDelay 1.0.2 and ATKUniversalDelay 1.2.0

I’m happy to announce the release of a variable delay plugin and an update to a fixed delay plugin based on the Audio Toolkit. They are available on Windows and OS X (min. 10.8) in different formats. The variable delay plugin allows to define a delay based on a sinusoid (mean delay, delay amplitude and frequency) and mix it with feedback and forward signals. The fixed delay plugin allows a fixed delay (up to a second). Both plugins can run at 192kHz.

Announcement: ATKSideChainExpander 1.0.1

I’m happy to announce the release of a side-chain stereo expander based on the Audio Toolkit (yes, after a compressor it is time for an expander!). It is available on Windows and OS X (min. 10.8) in different formats. This stereo expander can work on two channels, left/right or middle/side, possibly in linked mode (only one set of parameters), and can be set up to mix the input signal with the compressed signal (serial/parallel compression). The side chain channels can be used to steer the gain stage (the same setup will be used, right/left or middle/side).

Announcement: ATKUniversalDelay 1.1.0

I’m happy to announce the release of a mono fixed delay line based on the Audio Toolkit. It is available on Windows and OS X (min. 10.8) in different formats. The three knobs adjust the direct signal (blend), the delayed signal (feedforward) as well as the feedback signal from the delay line injected in the input. The delay can be set from 0 ms to 1 s by steps of 0.1 ms.

Announcement: ATKLimiter 1.0.0, ATKCompressor 1.1.0, ATKExpander 1.1.0

I’m happy to announce the release of one new limiter plugin based on the Audio Toolkit. It is available on Windows and OS X (min. 10.8) in different formats. I also updated the compressor and the expander with improved UI controls. The compressor also has now a dry/wet knob, allowing to use it for parallel compression.

Audio Toolkit: ATK SD1 Implementation

I just released my SD1 simulation, and now it is time to explain why is inside this plugin. Not everything in the original pedal was simulated, and different schemes were used to tackle the different stages.
