There are times you can’t work with people surrounding you. Perhaps they are just joking, perhaps they are interrupting you… Either way, they are pissing you off and you don’t know what to do. This is where enters Lynne Eisaguirre and her book.
Content and opinions
A workplace is never heaven on Earth. There is always somone with whom you have trouble dealing. And sometimes, it’s everyone, in which case you may be the issue 😉
The book starts from the description of a bad work mood, and then browses through every solution until moving away. After the exposition of the situation, the rights of our co-workers are exposed. Several ways of handling conflicts with them precedes the tights of a manager (i.e. our boss). Then, it’s a matter of personal mental health and of tools for self-control. The last chapters are about how you can plan your way out of the situation if every thing else failed.
The best chapters may be the explanations of how we work, and how we can handle the differnet situation by simple acts. They are efficient and help clarifying every issue.
Conclusion
I learnt a lot by reading this book. Of course, the main subject of the book is oneself, and not the others. We have to compose with others, and there are a lot of tools to achieve this goal in this book.
